1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using FlowFocus ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tappect ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of FlowFocus.
2. Description of Service
FlowFocus is a Pomodoro focus timer for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Android and Wear OS. Its core is free, and FlowFocus Pro is an optional purchase (see section 4). It provides:
- A Pomodoro timer with customizable focus and break lengths and saved presets
- Task tracking with pomodoro estimates, priorities and due dates
- Ambient focus sounds
- Focus statistics, session history and streaks
- Live Activities, Dynamic Island, widgets and Control Center controls (iOS), and watch apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS
- Sync of your own data between your devices without a sign-up
- Optional export of completed sessions to a calendar you choose
- Optional app blocking during focus sessions (Android, part of FlowFocus Pro)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. Your Data and Optional Sign-In
3.1 No Sign-Up Required
You can use FlowFocus, and buy FlowFocus Pro, without creating an account. So your data can sync between your own devices, the App creates a private, anonymous identity in the background, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Optional Sign-In
You may choose to sign in with Apple or Google, for example to keep your history when you change phones. You are responsible for keeping access to that Apple or Google account secure.
3.3 Deleting Your Data
You can delete all of your FlowFocus data at any time from inside the App, or by following the steps on our data deletion page.
4. Pricing, FlowFocus Pro and Subscriptions
4.1 Free Core
FlowFocus is free to download and use, with no ads. The timer, presets and custom durations, tasks, daily and weekly statistics, the streak calendar, session history, the watch apps, widgets, notifications, calendar export, sync between your devices and data export are free.
4.2 FlowFocus Pro
FlowFocus Pro is optional and adds extra features, such as all color themes and focus sounds, Commitment mode, the monthly view and insights in Statistics, CSV export, unlimited custom presets and, on Android, app blocking. The App shows which features are part of FlowFocus Pro. FlowFocus Pro is offered as:
- A monthly auto-renewing subscription
- A yearly auto-renewing subscription
- A lifetime unlock, which is a one-time purchase that does not renew
Prices are shown in the App and in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country. Taxes may apply.
4.3 Free Trial
The monthly and yearly subscriptions each include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged at the end of the trial. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
4.4 Payment and Auto-Renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the then-current price
- One purchase unlocks FlowFocus Pro on your devices that use the same App Store or Google Play account. Use Restore purchases in the App on a new device
4.5 Cancelling
You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep FlowFocus Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the App or your FlowFocus data does not cancel a subscription.
4.6 Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them according to their policies. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from Google Play in your order history. We cannot issue refunds directly.
4.7 Price Changes
Any price change follows Apple's and Google's rules for notifying subscribers and takes effect at the start of a later subscription period.
4.8 Apple Standard EULA
If you get FlowFocus from the App Store, your use of the App and of FlowFocus Pro is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the App Store version.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App without authorization
- Use automated systems or software to access the App without our permission
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Rights
The App, including its design, features, content, and functionality, is owned by Tappect and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our permission.
6.2 Your Rights
You retain ownership of any data you put into the App, such as tasks and sessions. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data only to provide the App's features to you, such as syncing between your devices.
6.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the App may be used by us without obligation to you.
7. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services, such as your device's calendar, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, the App Store and Google Play (for purchases) and RevenueCat (which manages FlowFocus Pro purchases). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and the third party.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any defects will be corrected
- The App will meet your requirements
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
FlowFocus is a productivity tool. We make no guarantees about productivity improvements or outcomes from using the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPPECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Service interruption or computer damage
- Cost of substitute services
- Any damages arising from your use of the App
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tappect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms
- Tell you in the App before material changes take effect
- Provide a reasonable period to review changes before they take effect
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:
- Breach of these Terms
- Conduct that we believe is harmful to other users or the App
- Request by law enforcement or government agencies
- Discontinuation of the App
Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit.
14. Miscellaneous
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tappect regarding the App.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
14.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
