Your counter data never leaves your phone
Ilma has no account and no cloud. The only network traffic Ilma sends is anonymous app analytics, an optional feedback message you choose to submit, and purchase checks if you ever buy a subscription. In plain English, below.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Ilma, a nicotine-free day counter developed by Tappect for women quitting cigarettes, vaping or pouches. This policy explains what Ilma does and does not do with your information, in plain English.
Ilma is a free application available on iOS and Android. This policy applies to everyone who uses it.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Ilma stores everything about your counters locally on your device, in a SQLite database and your device's app preferences. This includes:
- Your counters: name, quit date and time, and the nicotine products tracked
- Slip and craving events you log
- Money-saved settings (unit cost, currency) you enter
- Your reasons for quitting, if you chose to share them
- App preferences: theme, notification time, language, sound and haptics settings
We never see this. What you are quitting, why you are quitting, and everything you type into Ilma stays in the app's private storage on your device. Tappect has no server that stores it and no way to read it.
3. Anonymous Analytics and Crash Reports
Ilma uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand how the app is used and to catch bugs. These are anonymous and never include the content of what you type. What is collected:
- An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (not linked to your name or email)
- Device model, operating system version and app version
- General app events, such as "counter created", "craving started", "milestone reached" or "slip logged"
- Crash and error diagnostics if the app misbehaves, so we can fix it
Never collected: the name you give a counter, your quit date, your reasons for quitting, your notes, or any other content you enter. Only the fact that an action happened, never what it contains.
4. Feedback Form
If you choose to send feedback, report a bug, or request a feature from inside Ilma, the app sends the following to Tappect's server at tappect.com:
- Your message
- The type of feedback (feature request, bug report, or general feedback)
- Your email address, only if you choose to enter one so we can reply
- App version and platform (iOS or Android)
- Your device's locale (language and region setting)
This is sent only when you tap send, and only the fields shown above are transmitted. We use it to respond to you and improve Ilma. We do not sell this information or share it with advertisers.
5. Purchases (RevenueCat)
Ilma is free and has no paid features at launch. If a subscription or one-time purchase is ever introduced, Ilma uses RevenueCat to validate purchases with the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt to confirm your entitlement; it does not receive your counter data, your reasons for quitting, or anything else you have entered in the app.
6. Permissions
Ilma requests one optional permission:
Notifications (Optional)
If you turn on the daily nudge, Ilma will ask for permission to send local notifications. These are generated entirely on your device and are not routed through any external push service. You can turn them off at any time in the app or your device settings.
Ilma does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, health data, or photos.
7. No Advertising, No Sale of Data
Ilma contains no third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
8. Health Data
Ilma does not connect to Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health platform, and no health data leaves your phone. The body-healing timeline shown in the app is calculated entirely on your device from the quit date you provide.
Ilma is a wellness and tracking tool, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Talk to a healthcare professional about quitting nicotine, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a medical condition.
9. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Because your counter data is stored only on your device, you have complete control over it:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at any time
- Deletion: Uninstalling Ilma permanently deletes all of your counter data from your device
- Portability: Since we do not hold your counter data, there is nothing to request from us
Simple deletion: To remove all Ilma data, uninstall the app. There are no accounts to delete and no servers holding your counters.
10. Children's Privacy
Ilma is not directed at, marketed to, or intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us through the feedback form, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we change what data Ilma collects, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above.
Your continued use of Ilma after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
