Time Aware is designed with privacy at its core. Your data never leaves your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information or time tracking data.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Time Aware, a voice-driven time tracking application developed by Tappect. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
The short version: Time Aware is a 100% local application. All your data is stored only on your device. We do not operate any servers, cloud services, or data collection systems for this app.
Time Aware is available on iOS and Android platforms. This policy applies to all users of the Time Aware application.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Time Aware does not collect any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Account credentials (there are no accounts)
- Time tracking data or activity logs
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Crash reports (unless you explicitly share them)
- Any data to third parties
We have no servers. There is nowhere for your data to be sent, even if we wanted to collect it.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device in a local SQLite database:
- Time entries: Your logged activities with timestamps
- Categories: Your activity categories and colors
- Settings: Your app preferences (interval duration, theme, notifications)
This data is stored in your device's private app storage. It is not accessible by other apps and is automatically deleted when you uninstall Time Aware.
4. Permissions We Request
Time Aware requests the following device permissions:
4.1 Microphone
- Used for voice input when logging activities
- Voice is processed locally using Apple's Speech Recognition (iOS) or Google's Speech-to-Text (Android)
- We do not record, store, or transmit your voice data
- You can type instead if you prefer not to use voice
4.2 Notifications
- Used to remind you when a time interval ends
- All notifications are scheduled and delivered locally
- We do not use push notification servers
- You can disable notifications in app settings
4.3 Speech Recognition (iOS/Android)
- Required for converting your voice to text
- Processing may occur on-device or via Apple/Google services depending on your device settings

5. Third-Party Services
Time Aware uses the following platform services:

We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or other third-party data collection tools.
6. Data Security
Your data security is ensured by:
- Local-only storage: Data never leaves your device
- App sandboxing: Other apps cannot access Time Aware's data
- Device encryption: Your data is protected by your device's built-in encryption
- No network transmission: The app does not make network requests to our servers
To protect your data, we recommend enabling device encryption and using a secure lock screen.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
7.1 Access Your Data
All your data is visible within the app. You can view your time entries, categories, and settings at any time.
7.2 Export Your Data
You can export your time tracking data from the app settings.
7.3 Delete Your Data
- Delete individual entries from the history screen
- Clear all data from app settings
- Uninstall the app to remove all data permanently
7.4 Control Permissions
You can revoke microphone and notification permissions at any time in your device settings. The app will continue to work with manual text input.
8. Children's Privacy
Time Aware is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information, there are no specific age restrictions or parental consent requirements.
The app does not contain any advertising, in-app purchases, or social features.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy if we add new features that affect data handling. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
As Time Aware is designed to be a local-only app, we do not anticipate significant changes to our privacy practices.
