1. Agreement to Terms
By installing or using StackBar ("the App") on your Shopify store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the App.
StackBar is developed and operated by Tappect ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Description of Service
StackBar is a Shopify app that adds storefront bars to your online store, including:
- A free shipping progress bar that updates as the cart changes
- An announcement bar with one or more messages, links, scheduling, and a close button
- An embedded admin for configuring bar content, styling, placement, and scheduling
The App is provided as a native Online Store 2.0 app embed and reads only your store's settings and the shopper's cart total on-device.
3. Price
StackBar is offered free of charge. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no feature gating. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, existing free functionality described in these Terms will remain available, and any new charges will be disclosed and require your consent through Shopify's billing before they apply.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will:
- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and with Shopify's Terms of Service and policies
- Ensure the bar content you publish is accurate, lawful, and not misleading to your shoppers
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the App or its infrastructure
- Be responsible for the free-shipping thresholds and offers you advertise through the bars
5. Your Content
You retain all rights to the messages, links, and other content you configure in the App. You are solely responsible for that content and grant us the limited technical ability to store and render it as part of providing the App.
6. Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the StackBar Privacy Policy. In short, the App requests zero access scopes and collects no customer data.
7. Availability & Changes
We aim to keep the App available and working across supported Online Store 2.0 themes, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, modify, or discontinue features from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the App or on this page.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the App at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tappect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling removes the app embed and triggers deletion of your session records as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated.
